I don't recall Karasu levitating. If he was, I doubt he can keep up with Deidara while dodging the bombs.
Plus, Deidara's mini bombs are so small while Karasu's are big and Flashy.
Karasu's mask restrains his Demon Energy.

And OH WAIT:
I read his wikia page, and look what i've found.

As the fight commences, Karasu gains the upper hand, blowing up Kurama's blade petals and injuring his opponent's left arm without having to touch it. He reveals that his power did not consist of touching his target in order for it to explode, but rather he emanates it directly and then channels it inside any object, whether living or otherwise.

Karasu's mind bombs(my own term) are not that, uh, deadly?
Deidara tanked bigger hits, he even lost his 2 arms and he's still b1tching. lol
Deidara's advantage is that he can fly.

About karasu's flight ability, i still need to review this.
I think it's not flight, teleportation siguro.

not sure about that coz Deidara can fly hi above skies bro n karasu can't =) hehehe n d gaano kalaki ang explosives ni karasu =)
