I don't have a DOG this time but i will be MUCH more willing to HELP you guys in this endeavor..I used to have a Doberman and had long been waiting to him trained on Search and Rescue (SAR)..Sadly, he passed away few years back..I used to be a local SAR volunteer and had been involved in both minor and major SAR missions in CEBU and the neighboring regions..To quote, i was part of the Cebu Provincial Disaster Response Group that were sent to Guinsaugon, St. Bernard, Southern Leyte..A SPANISH Canine SAR Team was also part of the SAR efforts but they only lasted for FOUR days..They had to STOP their participation due to ONE main reason > their DOGS had been DEHYDRATED since they arrived due to our CLIMATE..Philippine K9 SAR Team was also there but considering the size of the SEARCH AREA, 3 dogs is NEVER ENOUGH..DOH had to advise all SAR Teams to STOP OPERATIONS after the 6th day since the mudslide. The area was contaminated by BACTERIA and it was not anymore safe for us to CONTINUE the Search and Recovery efforts..We left Barangay Guinsaugon with about 50 lives saved, 150 bodies found, and a THOUSAND MORE buried under the rubbles..I heard there are private groups who train SAR dogs for a GOOD PRICE..I guess this about TIME to get ourselves organized in preparation for the EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE..<--- No ONE is exempted from this..The only thing that we can do to continue our lives here on EARTH is to ADAPT and PREPARE!..
