    EVENING Reflection

    Examination of Conscience

    -What have I done wrong?
    towards God, self and others?

    -What have I done right?

    -What could I have done better?

    Psalm 51 (Miserere)
    Create in Me a Clean Heart, O God

    51:1 Have mercy on me, [1] O God,
    according to your steadfast love;
    according to your abundant mercy
    blot out my transgressions.
    2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
    and cleanse me from my sin!

    3 For I know my transgressions,
    and my sin is ever before me.
    4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
    and done what is evil in your sight,
    so that you may be justified in your words
    and blameless in your judgment.
    5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
    and in sin did my mother conceive me.
    6 Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being,
    and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.

    7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
    wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
    8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
    let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
    9 Hide your face from my sins,
    and blot out all my iniquities.
    10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
    and renew a right [2] spirit within me.
    11 Cast me not away from your presence,
    and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
    12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
    and uphold me with a willing spirit.

    13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
    and sinners will return to you.
    14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,
    O God of my salvation,
    and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.
    15 O Lord, open my lips,
    and my mouth will declare your praise.
    16 For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
    you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
    17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
    a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

    SERENITY PRAYER

    God grant me the serenity
    to accept the things I cannot change;
    courage to change the things I can;
    and wisdom to know the difference.

    Living one day at a time;
    Enjoying one moment at a time;
    Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
    Taking, as He did, this sinful world
    as it is, not as I would have it;
    Trusting that He will make all things right
    if I surrender to His Will;
    That I may be reasonably happy in this life
    and supremely happy with Him
    Forever in the next.
    Amen.

    OT..mao ni isa sa mga kanta nga makahilak ko..

    (Verse 1)
    All that I am, all that I have
    I lay them down before you, oh Lord
    All my regrets, all my acclaims
    The joy and the pain, I'm making them yours

    (Chorus)
    Lord, I offer my life to you
    Everything I've been through
    Use it for your glory
    Lord I offer my days to you
    Lifting my praise to you
    As a pleasing sacrifice
    Lord I offer you my life

    (Verse 2)
    Things in the past, things yet unseen
    Wishes and dreams that are yet to come true
    All of my heart, all of my praise
    My heart and my hands are lifted to you

    (Chorus)
    Lord, I offer my life to you
    Everything I've been through
    Use it for your glory
    Lord I offer my days to you
    Lifting my praise to you
    As a pleasing sacrifice
    Lord I offer you my life

    (Bridge)
    What can we give
    That you have not given?
    And what do we have
    That is not already yours?
    All we possess
    Are these lives we're living
    That's what we give to you, Lord

    (Chorus)
    Lord, I offer my life to you
    Everything I've been through
    Use it for your glory
    Lord I offer my days to you
    Lifting my praise to you
    As a pleasing sacrifice
    Lord I offer you my life

    (Chorus)
    Lord, I offer my life to you
    Everything I've been through
    Use it for your glory
    Lord I offer my days to you
    Lifting my praise to you
    As a pleasing sacrifice
    Lord I offer you my life
    Lord I offer you my life

    kani pud tawon...catholic ko peo ang it's complicated nako ug ang akong friend nga born again nag-introduce ani nga hillsong...

    "Who Am I"

    Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
    Would care to know my name
    Would care to feel my hurt
    Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
    Would choose to light the way
    For my ever wandering heart

    Not because of who I am
    But because of what You've done
    Not because of what I've done
    But because of who You're

    I am a flower quickly fading
    Here today and gone tomorrow
    A wave tossed in the ocean
    A vapor in the wind
    Still You hear me when I'm calling
    Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
    And You've told me who I am
    I am Yours, I am Yours

    Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
    Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
    Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
    Would call out through the rain
    And calm the storm in me

    I am Yours
    Whom shall I fear
    Whom shall I fear
    'Cause I am Yours
    I am Yours

    HAPPY FEAST DAY FATHER ELIJAH.

    St. Elijah (Elias) the Prophet, Patron and Spiritual Father of the Carmelite Order.

    "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse."— Malachi 4:5-6

    Reflection

    Prophet Elijah prayed to God to light the fire in front of the Prophets of Baal & the people of Israel to prove them that the God he worshiped is truly the GOD of Israel. Today, in this modern world, how can we be "Prophets of Modern Times," how can be creative in proclaiming God's word? Get to know St. Elijah.

    You may check my blog post

    Elijah's Prayer at Mt. Carmel

    “O Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, prove now that you are the God of Israel and that I am your servant and have done all this at your command. Answer me, Lord, answer me, so that this people will know that you, the Lord, are God and that you are bringing them back to yourself.”
    1 Kings Chap 18:36-37

    "THESE ARE THE DAYS OF ELIJAH"

    We are all called to be saints, disciples and prophets of God.

    Yes, I started with that book "Story of a Soul" naa na sa Carmelites available, available pd sa St. Paul but ang sa Carmel ilaha kay ang Critical Edition jud, murag the official translation of her French Autobio. Isa kasi xang Pranses hehe

    At first sa mga pila k chapters I dunno taleg ma annoy ka sa yang pagka spoiled, stubborn na pagka bata but later on ma lingaw raka niya.

    She's known to be the stubborn Saint.

    Because of that book / her book she became a SAINT. hmm nganu kaha? It's up to you to find out! She was just an ordinary cloistered nun who joined the Order of Discalced Carmelites at the age of 15 and died of TB at the age of 24. She emphasized that, you need not to do great things in order to become a Saint but simple deeds and task done with great love can advance you to holiness.

    You will surely learn a lot from her! Go to her!

    "As long as you believe Roses shall rain from the skies!"
    here's a vid I made dedicated to St. Therese and the devotees of St. Therese

    ‪Prayer of St. Therese of the the Child Jesus "You fill my Heart"with lyrics‬‏ - YouTube
    (song was composed when her relic came to visit our country) (I wasn't able to see the relic for I have no idea kinsa na siya before.

    Therese Martin, 8 years old.
    The Stubborn Saint.

    PRAYER OF ST. THERESE

    A Morning Prayer

    O my God ! I offer Thee all my actions of this day for the intentions and for the glory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I desire to sanctify every beat of my heart, my every thought, my simplest works, by uniting them to Its infinite merits ; and I wish to make reparation for my sins by casting them into the furnace of Its Merciful Love.

    O my God ! I ask thee for myself and for those whom I hold dear, the grace to fulfill perfectly Thy Holy Will, to accept for love of Thee the joys and sorrows of this passing life, so that we may one day be united together in Heaven for all Eternity. Amen.

    Died at the age of 24.
    Picture taken by her elder sister who is also a Carmelite Nun.

    Pray for us St. Therese!
