30.12 pts per game? you called that the highest in nba history? HAHAHAHAHAHA DUDE  check the stats ..this  just last year.. kobe averaged 35.4 pts pg, iverson had 33.0 pg, james had 31.4... the highest in history?  dude jordan's highest was 37+ pg... ok now that is the highest in NBA history...  jordan's 30.1 was his 15 year pts average that goes same with wilt's...

there was an episode on espn a year ago.. that featured basketball and how it has changed.. comments were more likely that the new players are playing pro basketball like a street basketball..more on individual playing flashy moves.. it's more on how to humiliate the opponent instead of just taking the ball inside that hole... look where Team usa in now? maybe it shouldn't all be blamed on the players but with some of the nba rules too.. imagine a ballgame that's down to its final 20 seconds of the game.. dude it will take maybe half an hour for a 20 second game to end....  AND thanks but i don't need a neurologist for that..

numbers really speak a lot.. but more importantly, i guess what made michael jordan stand out over other stars of basketball world is that he popularized the sport more than everybody else did (in one survey, most chinese kids even know who michael jordan is than mao zedong). first came the skinned head and the baggy shorts. then his game style. his acrobatic moves were new to fans all over the world and everybody is in awe everytime they see him play. yes there was dr. j, but mj has more polished and graceful moves than he is. wilt? he was a lean and mean scoring machine, mj may not be as dominant as him, but wilt doesnt have speed and finesse, which adds flavor to the game. then of course, everybody loves a winner.. 6 titles and 2 olympic golds? whew!! and also 5 MVPs and 6 finals MVPs.. but behind those achievements is a true champion. he's a true leader and he could really bring out the best of his teammates. thats what other past, present and new stars lack. (i guess steve nash is an exception).. and yeah.. take note of his quotes. you could determine what kind of man is michael jordan is.. thats what made him stand out
