3 things:

1st, Dota is not dead

Does ACG, ESWC, WDC and SMM ring any bells to you? Cause if you really think that Dota is already "phased out" then you are dead wrong. These organizations(well, except WDC which just started last year) have been hosting Dota events for YEARS.

2nd, Pinoys CAN compete

If my memory serves me right, team Flow already bagged 3rd place from ACG 2008 and Mineski also finished 4th in the 1st Garena ADC Tournament. Last year, Mineski cruised the SMM groupstage unbeaten, destroying top teams from Thailand, Australia and Indonesia until falling short to Chinese teams in the playoffs.

LOOK IT UP.

And lastly, Dota > LoL. easy.

LoL may have better sponsors backing it up but strategically and skill-wise, Dota beats Hon and LoL hands down. Though I never played LoL but I used to be a dota gamer and watching people play LoL just makes me sick. It's like Ragnarok all over again.

I'm 100% sure that DotA is phased out already dreamhack forsaken dota like 2010 and WCG doesnt have dota to their list of games this year and DotA doesnt have that many pro gamers anymore and have you seen garena's dota rooms? it doesnt have the same amount of people in it compare like 2006-2008 DotA doesnt have anything new to offer why? cause its stuck in WC3 engine and is there any international tournament for dota this year?

and based from your statement you dont know what you're saying u never played LoL and u just stick what you know about dota as for me i've played all 3 games dota,hon, and lol and all i can say is LoL beats DotA,DotA beats HoN

Dreamhack and WCG is not the only tournament in the world... Noone knows the insanely huge Chinese DotA Scene which is comparable in size to the Korean Starcraft : BW Scene...

LoL is a very casualized and streamlined version of DotA and takes less skill to play ( Just like SC2 vs Brood War ) better graphics and the fact it is easier to pick up means its very popular.

A game being outdated does not do it's competitiveness justice, Look at Brood War, CS 1.6 and Quake Live(which is basically Quake 3 Arena)

If I am not mistaken, while Dreamhack was just starting as a BYOC event, WCG, ESWC and CPL(now dead) were already pioneers of eSport. Though Dreamhack has already improved during the years, WCG and ESWC are still on a different level so I don't really get why you are so obsessed with Dreamhack.

Just who exactly are you referring to as "pro-gamers"? Cause I believe a huge chunk of users in garena are just casual gamers. have you played LoL competitively? if LoL is easier to play then why dont u guys go qualify for international tourney like ESL and the upcoming SEACG so we get a slot in WCG this year?

i'm not being a fanboy too much on LoL i'm just sharing whats going on in LoL scene and i dont care if i dont please people by it i dont force people to play it anyway
