for a song, it's the overall package. the vocals is just as important as the guitars, percussion instruments, and etc.

melody jud coz if wala ni xa then it wouldn't be music anymore, naa gani nindot kaayo lyrics pero d jud mostick sa listeners ang melody then naa man pud mga nice nga instrumental

80% melody, 20% lyrics.. since i'm more into the Prog Genre, i usually concentrate on the melodies.. good lyrics are just bonuses.

the 2 should go together well. i once tried to watch music videos of yoyoy sa youtube. in fairness, mau iya lyrics kay educational jud. however, tungod sa ka baduy sa iya dating, d kau mu dare kanta or paminaw ang taw sa iya songs kay baduyan sa dating.
