The main reason why those fungi are able to do it on ant's is because the ant brain is relatively simpler than a mammalian brain. Thus, very minute amounts of the needed chemicals can be easily produced by the fungi, to "take over" an ant's rather minute brain.

So, while possible, I think the odds of such a fungi taking over a mammalian brain is very very low.

its is possible that this could hit us humnas lot at what madcow and bird flu did, the scary part is we some places the people eat ants, as what we did to cows(madcow) and bird flu (chickens). so for me its a big possibility, and that scares me
