geez-- I never experienced this because all the money handling was under Mother's supervision. When it comes to expenses, she and Father discuss and decide together but ultimately, Mother hands out the allowances, even for Father!

as a daughter, i would say akong papa jud dako muhatag allowance. pero now that i'm a mother myself, i don't think magtinihik ko sa akong anak, as long as ang akong ihatag pud nga allowance, reasonable lang pud sa iyang needs.
