Example A (we were questioned by the guards but got away with the photos by diplomacy negotiations)

The photo above is Radisson Blu Hotel. Kanang dapit sa SM. A photo of a private property and taken inside the same property. Gi sita mi sa guards. Amo gi buhat? Actually, gi buhat sa ako amigo? Abtik2x lang. We told them internet media mi and mo shoot mi sa hotel nila. Ana ang usa ka guard, nag submit mo ug letter of intent or request? Tubag mi, yes, ganiha lang gyud and we got the go. The guy went in to confirm, but shifting mani sila so obviously dili nila ma trace asa na ang among letter While they were busy going through the paper work, we took the window of opportunity and shoot. They guy came back and told us he can't find the paper. We said but this is the only time we can shoot. He gave us the go and gave us around 10 or 15 mins man siguro to to take pictures.

- Smooth talker friend
- Look professional. This works all the time. Look "simple" and you will not command respect. Look professional and without telling them, they'll assume nga media ka. With that in their minds, mas careful and respectful na sila mo talk with you. Unless you entered an area where media people are hated
- Negotiations skillzzz

"Diskarte" is the key jud diay, tsk2x i need to develop pa this talent jud, i think apil ni sa dapat i-master uban sa exposure, composition ug uban pa and Diskarte. pero lahi gyud ning "kawat-kawat" kay lami kaayu (ang kuha).

last saturday, december 26th, after pakal at mang inasal in park mall, we decided to have a family photo on their park-like environment so i configured my tripod then one of the guards approached me and said that it is prohibited to make a photo on the vista. he looked at me as somewhat like im a stranger with a terror-like plans(even though they saw us first when we had dinner) . it was quite embarrassing since there were many people saw and heard what he(the guard) did. so i replied to him not to worry due to i know their precautions, and i am an experienced photographer so i know how to deal with things(nakapanghambog nalang intawn og ahat bisag walay ikapanghambog, pastilan). then he smiled(red lips man diay), gave thanks, and evaporated(luckily boutan man diay to nga guard or basin kay pasko ron, hahahaha!)



next time, hay kay maayo we will tell them straight and frank, "bai, dont worry, dili ko membro og terrorista or any criminal group, dili pod ko hilig kaayo og landscape photography kay nude photographer ko so ayaw kabalaka og ayaw ko pugngi!!" (then let the guard see the brought fhm & playboy magazines dayon)

kini ingon ani na mga situations. problema mani sa management. gusto sila nga nindot ilang lugar. gi design nila nga suroy suroyan sa mga tao, pero dili sila mo sugot na magpa picture ta diha. I think ang pag explain ra ani sa mga guards ug tarong unsay pwede ug dili pwede. kay kung gamay imong camera or cellphone imong gamiton unya mag picture2x mo diha sa park mall, dili man mo sitahon. pero kung naka tripod ka ug nag gamit ka ug dslr, sitahon ka. wala ko sitaha nga nag tripod ko pero point and shoot. nag shoot ko diha anang grounds atbang sa you restobar kuyog sa akong wife. nag tanaw ra man pud ang guard nako. sa ako na bantayan ilang sitahon ang naka dslr labi na tong nag setup ug tripod. so basin ang ilang gi kabalak-an kay kanang mga for commercial use na mga photos. mo shoot lang ka diha without a permit unya gamiton nimo for commercial purposes.

para sa mga hilig mag coffee parehas nako. lahi pud akong experience sa starbucks. dili pud ni sila mo sugot mag picture2x mo sa sulod or gawas sa ilang cafe labi na kung ang background nimo kay ang ilang logo na starbucks. wala sad k kasabot ani. pero lagi, ila sad na. wala na ta mahimo ana. pero sayang man pud labi na sa kadtong mga rare gatherings nga magka tapok ang barkada or family unya dili ta maka take ug photo for remembrance.

hahaha nindot ni nga thread kay timing kaayo... this morning ng shoot ko sa Mactan Shrine strobe (1-light) portraits with my friend... and padong nami pack-up gidool mi sa tanod ug gi ingnan mi

Tanod: "naa moy permit sa inyong picture picture?"
me : "kinhanglan diay ug permit?"
Tanod : "kinhanglang kay tourist attraction ni dinhi nya mg picture picture mo dha ma delatar ang tourist mg huwat mahuman mo"
me : it happens nga naay ng pre-nup, "kana sila naa sad na silay permit?"
Tanod: "ako na sila pangayoan sad"
me: "asa ta kapangayo ug permit?"
Tanod: "Adto mo sa brgy hall nya pangayo ug permit"
me: "sige boss"

so continue me packup... knowing nga pauli nami ug nka shots nami ug mga almost 30 shots around the shrine and the coastal area hehehehe

common ni cya sa IT park jud hinoon...naa to 1 time sad nga naa ko sa open field sa IT park nya nag shoot ko sa fullmoon. nya;

Guard: unsa imong gi pictureran dong?
Ako: kana tang buwan boss ky nindot mn gud.
Guard: Bawal ra ba na dong.
Ako: Nganong bawal man nga wala may tag-iya anang buwan.
Guard: Basta bawal na dong ky naa ka diri sa IT Park.
Ako: Mao ba?! Cge lakaw nlang ko.

Ni balik ko sa akong opisina kay naa ra man sa IT Park ug ni padayun ko ug picture sa among parking lot. dayun ni sita nasad ang guard nako.

Guard: Nganong naa naman sad ka diri dong?
Ako: Amo naman ning opisina (Pakita sa ID ug niduol ang guard sa among opisina).
Guard: Aww mao ba.
Ako: O, mao gyud. amo na ning opisina mao wa nakay katungod mo badlung.

Nilakaw nalang ang guard ug napadayun ko ug kuha ug photo.
