I think it is legal nga plotted OT, labi na if daghan demand sa work then short ang manpower.

You can say NO, it is your prerogative.

Sa BPO its pretty hard to decline it w/o the risk of loosing your job and the government allows UPTO 6 days of work, beyond ana naa naka rights mo complain directly sa DOLE.

There are some profession where it is concerning public and national interest. Such as if you are a police officer, or fireman, or even for some private companies engaged in power generation and transmission and other public utilities. If normal manpower cannot satisfy the need, then overtime is mandatory... even DOLE will side with the employers in these cases.

In the management side of view, proper manpower planning should be implemented, and having overtime for your employees should be minimized. If employees despises overtime, much more for the employers.

For me, no one can force you to render overtime. You can always say no, as long as you are responsible with the consequences from your employer.

to answer your question, i guess it's legal because it's paid... the only hard part is the "mandatory" OT.
existing ghapon ni nga issue sa comcast? hehe.. just asking ^_^

Pwede man siguro mo say NO to mandatory OT.
    Say it nicely lang pod.
I think the superior will understand man siguro.

I have just remembered a friend (not TS)
    If wala job, yawyaw
    If naa job, yawyaw

    If naay forced leave, reklamo
    If naay plotted OT, reklamo.
