Thread: Discrimination?

  1. #21

"common sense" is a basic requirement when interpreting company policies.

:just imagine noynoy aquino wearing a gown during APEC summit.
laws/policies are not absolute, there are exceptions, like prohibiting a gov't official from cross dressing during official functions or prohibiting an employee to cross dress during work hours, lol and its not discrimination. hahaha!!

    Simple.

Kung bayot ka and you like cross-dressing then wear casual attire like a woman with matching bra and panties. Don't wear spaghetti, strap-ons, tits-revealing outfit in office. Even if you feel the need to freely express oneself. Then you better look clean on other peoples eyes.

for me, why bother to apply if you're against with the company's rules and regulations. the company has its rights to implement what they want.

My question is this... do you think these two separate company policy guidelines are conflicting or not in relation to people of different sexual orientations because most of them wanted to enjoy cross-dressing. And as far as i know it is also a human right that has not been fully accepted or embraced by some companies.

As for the BPO industry, don't you think they should allow this right to be practiced without prejudice since customers could not see what agents are wearing because it is only confined to voice related transactions?

Let me hear your different opinions my friends... Thank you.
in a call center company, i think you are also dealing with other people including management and colleagues, some of them maybe bothered with your cross dressing and etc.

and also you must be professional also.

@vagabond...professionalism is the core issue here bro/
sis. the two company policies are not contradicting, yet
    related.

in the first one, proper dress-code means you have to
wear clothes or, a uniform that conforms to company's
policy. as an employee, your image reflects to that of
your employer; it's quite fitting then that you must be a
    professional-like, a respectable, a decent individual that
    represents your company.

the term 'dress-code' here, refers to the appropriateness or
suitability of your attire - to others, to people in the industry.

it does mention the preference, or choice of clothes of a
    specific person (sexual orientation).

in the second one, it shows that the company respects the
sexual orientation of employees. the management will tell you
what "specifics" are acceptable (in relation to dress-code).

both company policies are presented fairly.

Plus tanan nimong employees naka cross-dressed. Let's see how that looks..

A Company policy is outlined in order for goals to be met, rules to obeyed for order, and to project a character that embodies the firms beliefs and disposition. i think, dress code is imposed not to discriminate but to exercise composure of professionalism in a world of corporate competitiveness. dili man sa pag husga sa imong pagkataw.

kung trans or cross dresser ka ug ikamatay na gyud sa imong dungog na dili nimo pwede itago ang imong ka fashionista then, i think u dont belong in this kind of job. basi adto ka sa mga designers, make up artist or basi mag celebrity ka nalang kaysa magsakit ang kabubut-on na di maka express to the max!

i think mas maau kung i-lugar ang tanan, kung professional and corporate look ka wyl at work and then wen u go for a nyt out...then adto didto mag dress up galore. there is a ryt place and time for everything. better nalang pod ni to gain respect for oneself.
