kung sakto, better i-reklamo sa Globe, kay basin naa'y anomalya..
how could they know the Account number and registered account name..??
and nag gamit lang og regular number pang text...

    IMHO:
could it be scam or not...this message might be coming from a law firm that Globe hired to contact delinquent subscribers...if you can notice the last statement specially the part i highlighted, it's asking the subscriber to pay at a nearest Globe center or any LBC outlet...it didn't say deposit your payment to this account number...

naka encounter ko ani sa una sa PLDT ug HSBC(kadto paugat pa kau ko mubayad sa una), though through letter tong ilaha nga paagi and sometimes mu call sa akong CP or house number...

but if your friend's in doubt, he/she can report this matter to Globe...but naa koy feeling pending payment ni sa imong friend...delayed guro mubayad...

If sakto ang name ug ang account number, posible na tinuod ni. Dili man gud Globe na number mugawas kay sa firm naman siguro ni. Utangan sad gyud diay imong friend? Ngano mahadlok man mo ana nga text?

EDIT: ^ Medyo agree ko ni juleskiboi, wala man ni ingon nga call this number or deposit to this bla bla bla.

I'm going with juleskiboi on this one. The text in itself doesn't sound like a scam. This is the new way phone companies deal with delinquent accounts. They outsource collectibles now. If you have seen the movie: Confessions of a Shopaholic, that sounds exactly like it. Samok2xon ka anang collection agency.

Here's how it works...Companies have a lot of delinquent accounts, after lets say 3 months, na gikapoy na jud paningil ang company, ila na ibaligya ang imong account to a collection agency for a price. After that ang collection agnecy na maoy mag samok2x nimo. If nahasol na jud ka and decide ka na mubayad na ka, its either i forward na ka sa collection agency or dawaton nila imo bayad pero ila na ihatag sa collection agency...Mao na siya ang rationale, why naa mga numbers na mu contact ninyo na dili sa company mismo.

As for legal action...as far as I am conderned, dili sila ka file ug case nimo kay wa na siya mahagbong sa category sa fraud or estafa, as far as phone bills are concerned. But these collection agencies can subject you to a degree of embarassment...so just pay the bills or paugat, its up to you.
