    Good day!
Here in negros oriental we are actually using another alternative plant not specifically to cure dengue but atleast lessen the effects. This has been proven during the time brother has been diagnosed with dengue. "SALINGKAPAW" is the name of the plant,

The Department of Health should continue its campaign against the rise of dengue in some areas of the country like Rizal. I've seen the news that another four year old died due to Dengue fever. The DOH should take initiative on this. Maybe they can prioritize these areas of concern so that rise of dengue victims will be prevented.

The Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases (NITD), a public-private venture of pharmaceutical giant Novartis and the Singapore Economic Development Board, has given the country a tip on eradicating the number of Dengue cases.

Health research experts are here to call for a back-to-basics mosquito-eradication program in countries affected by dengue, including the Philippines.

The NITD, whose research is focused on drugs to fight dengue and tuberculosis, is doing genome-focused studies to find out why some people infected with dengue die while others manage to overcome it, and how this could be addressed.

The NITD chief is pushing for a renewed drive against mosquitoes, especially in tropical countries which are at high risk for dengue and its accompanying economic burden.

“What governments can do now is mosquito control. Reduce the population of mosquitoes, kill the larvae. Education is important, especially in endemic countries like the Philippines where there are many children,” Herrling said.

He said NITD has been working on an antiviral drug for dengue for the last three years, but at this stage, it could take another 10 to 12 years.

“We have already selected some enzymes. We have the very first drug this year that could go into the development stage,” Herrling said, adding that NITD was also testing some natural compounds against the virus.

DOH found out that the number of dengue cases is practically going down. It started to get high on the month of July and reached its peak on the month of August. 19% has almost reduced in the number of the cases compared to number last year bases on the number of admission in different hospitals.

Although it is good news to know that it is decreasing, health department still reminds the public to be vigilant, be aware of the illness, where it came from and its causes.

i think papaya ain't a cure for dengue.. that's what i also heard from the news..

by the "mangagao" isn't even authorized by other hospitals here in cebu..maybe sa public hospitals ok ra ang doctor nga paimnon ang patient ug mangagao, pero sa mga private hospitals, doctors never recomend you to drink that..

fresh fruit juices are advisable.. compared to mangagao..

pero based on experience, mutaas jud ang platelet sa nasakit kung muinom ug mangagao..
