if you can bump up the budget a little, consider the latest 400D canon with self cleaning feature and 10mp sensor and 2.5" LCD with most of the 30D features...this is the next gen 350D...
approx 46k lang...i can have it here in cebu from hk in 2 days if ur intrested.
but if u plan to save as much money, any of the EOS entry level offer very good functionality...300D and 350D are more than suffcient for majority of users
update: local canon is launching the 400D nxt week...est price is 48500

I was kinda fascinated with the works of Pidz111, CrasHBURN, and I think with darkwing's too.. I saw some of your stuff in Flickr though. Nindot inyong mga pics..
