    @warhorse: you just had bad luck i guess. dili ma avoid getting bad cards sometimes. Naa man juy problems sa duds sa manufacturing process. to be safe, pili lang ug mga respectable brands (XFX, EVGA, BFG, SAPPHIRE, etc.) and make sure nindot sila warrantly and good RMA rep. Also, I can't stress this enough, make sure to get a good power supply and also a UPS (kng dili ups at least surge protector). If ur components are getting dirty/noisy power, dali ra ma guba!

    edit: my ati VGA (XFX) has a double-lifetime warranty, which sez alot about ati's confidence on their cards reliability so am not worried about that at all.
