core2quad q9550 or core i5

mga bai, out of stock na ang q9550. wala najud bisan asa ko nangita. the reason i want q9550 is i want to experience the quadcore and at least dug-ol lang sila clockspeed sa ako current proc. but since wala stock aning q9550, mag i5 nalang ko or at least wait for cheaper chipsets, mahal kaayo mga mobo sa p55 oi. naakoy nakitan nga nice nga p55 chipset tag 5k ra all solid caps... here it is.

it looks good pero i dont like the brand, i dont like the location of the 4pin power connector and ngano dagoy naay 4pin molex sa tunga.

additional power na bro in case mag multi-gpu ka...ncase unstable imong system kung naka crossfire/sli ka gamiton na nimo sya...even EVGA mobos have that...i remember ni txt si jojobanana nako ana(asking kung kinahanglan ba butangan) kadto nag configure pa sya sa iyang uber i7 rig...

no need kung dili ka mag multi-gpu...even if mag multi-gpu ka and stable ra imong system bisan dili butangan then ayaw lang...BUT kung unstable that's the time imo sya paksan...

@ whoopz.... i had and e8400 E0 but i changed it to Q9550 E0 becuase naa ko existing parts...

and i noticed great improvements sa battlefield BC2 ..... grabeh kaayu ug need ug multi core ni kaning nga game.

BTW...... Nindot naman imung Rig! u just need a better processor.... and thats Q9550 ! you can OC that thing to 4 gighz with a megahalem!

HD5850/HD5870 na gud ka....

my friendly advice is "dont upgrade" if your current hardware can still handle your needs. daghan na rumors about new CPUs from intel and AMD...so better wait for the next gen pc components...

its just a matter of time...months lang cguro, nana pud mga new upgrades....

yes, i agree. kung gaming lang your c2d is still very good; oc mo lang yan to 4.2 (kahit 1more year pwede pa yan)

my e6700 oc to 4ghz still kickass. (3yrs old na ito)

until the dust settles and intel have a clear path then decide till there.

gaming: there are still a few games that uses multi core; so c2d,c2q are at part on most games.

kala ko nga pwede pa ito 3more years itong i7 920 ko eh bugger!

agree ko sa uba. dont buy/upgrade yet until the game you really wanted cannot be played on your current computer.

pero kung ganahan na dyud ka mag upgrade - mas cost effective upgrade to q9550.
