as what "jeff_bonz59" said..., this phone is meant for geeky/tech-ky people..., or better yet..., a linux user that wants a full blown linux OS in their phone with almost without restrictions.
NOT appealing for the average user I believe.

I'm a N900 user, I got mine last April pa. I'm surprised I didn't bump into this thread yet, dugay na man ko sigeg pangita ug discussion about the phone. I actually even wrote a review of sorts about it, comparing it to the iPhone 3GS (the iPhone 4 wasn't out yet, wasn't even leaked yet when I wrote it). Feel free to read, here's the link:

i have a nokia n900 and im loving every second of it! grabe ka kusgan. the resistive touchscreen aint that bad. wakoy paki sa mga megapixels sa cam diha (kay naa koy DSLR.. hehe) or unsa kanindot sa response sa ila touchscreen, the n900 is a very powerful phone. sa fb pwede ang chat just like using your desktop computer when you browse. unya maka login napud ko sa ako favorite freelancing site! hahaha i couldnt do this when i had a previous nokia device.. kutob ra jud view2 unya dili ka login..
thank God nokia you made me happy with the N900! hehehe
Good news for n900 owners. Dual booting maemo 5 and meego 1.1 now possible with the latest PR1.3 update.

i might stick with maemo. dont wanna brick my phone changing OSes. maybe in the future kanag stable na jud. so far nindot kaayo ang n900. hibung ko nganu gamay ra nagka interested ani nga phone. the apps are not that bad and importante pud sila. i mean naay mga gamit ba.
when browsing on websites, they are not in mobile versions. what you see in your desktop computer is what you see in the n900. i can use the chat feature of FB when im logged on. i can watch FB posted videos aside pud sa kanang mga youtube videos. i havent tried playing the fb games (as im not an fb game addict) though but they said it can.. (farmville on your phone, anyone? hehehe) its just like browsing in my home computer. the multitasking is also a killer. it can open more or less 30 apps in one sitting. while im browsing my gmail. i can switch to my fb page and then to the istorya.net page without closing the browsers. i can switch back to the desktop and play a game while the browsers are also open. very powerful phone indeed.
now, can anyone tell me which fone has the features that can perform like the n900? hehe
Got a nokia N900 karon lang.. Naglibog ko unsa ako i Let go ako iPhone 3gs or kani. So far ngilngig jud au nga phone.. basa asa lang sa kog reviews ani na unit..
N900 and 3GS are like apples and oranges, lahi silaI've used both phones intensively, lahi gyud ilang focus. They're both great, it's just a matter of what you need. No one phone is better than the other, they each have their own special skills
