i believe it's possible, but not in our lifetime. if it did, then dapat ang mga higher rated nga PS should be of the same size as those of the normal rated PS. example ra gud oh, notice how those 1000W PS are longer to 500W PS.

Hitachi Maxell Exhibits Laminated Li-ion Battery
The battery, "IMS65142235," is currently under development and 6.5mm thick, 142mm wide and 235mm long. Its rated capacity, nominal voltage, final voltage and maximum current are 10Ah, 3.7V, 2.75V and 30A, respectively. Hitachi Maxell expects that the battery will be used for the power supplies of electric bikes, automated guided vehicles, etc and uninterruptible power supply systems.

mix this with the UPS + PSU concept..
