@Ian: It took me two weeks to get used to manual focusing but yes, the people in the only manual focus lens forum I joined said that eventually my eyes/hands will get used to it and I did. Although focusing at wide apertures is still tricky, it's do-able.
Yes, I will get a film cam on my birthday. I might just get a Pentax so it's compatible with my M42 or screw mount lenses. A lot of Nikons are available downtown but that would just make me hunt MF lenses just for Nikon. I do have a 28mm but that's behaving like a normal 50mm (44.8mm to be exact) so if I have a Pentax film cam, then I would have a true 28mm. Not UWA but wide for sure (equivalent to my camera's original kit lens at 17mm).
pwede ko apil dri mga bros?? hehe!!! i am using MF lenses for my Canon and Micro 4/3 bodies... I also have 2 OM SLRs (OM-1 and OM-20)... will post pics soon...
Lens: Carl Zeiss: Planar T* 1.4/50 ZE
- native EF mount (so no adapter needed)
- camera controlled aperture
- focus confirm
- no focus motor

@rockola: I like the firstNindot MF sa. They give your photos a unique look. I already set expectations na I won't shoot a lot of photos with MF lenses but the ones you keep would surely be memorable.
This was taken with a Jupiter-9 85mm at f/4 during last Saturday's OtakuFest

I went out this beautiful sunny morning for a lone photowalk. I posted the photos here:
