mu work man daw, and i was planning to get one na gani, but then i thought of the support and what if naa defect imo phone. it takes 2 weeks to arrive here, so im guessing it will also take 2 weeks in case you need to send it back for warranty claims, and then maybe how many days for repair, and then they will send it back to you again for another 2 weeks. *sigh* makabuang hunahuna mura kag wai cellphone for more than a month.

standardization is on the OS part...thats were android OS comes in...

imagine your PC running windows... different models, different hardware, different specs, different sizes, different video cards, different processors (amd or intel), different boards...all running same version of word...same photoshop...etc.

    same with MAC...macbook, imac, mac mini...same iphoto...same ichat...same photoshop.

same with Nokia and symbian licensing S60 interface and symbian OS...siemens, samsung, lg, and other phone makers made their versions of it...softwares made for one works with the other brands.

personally im very tempted aning android unit...pero im still holding out on a dual sim unit. kapoy na gyud kaayo sigi dala daghan phone hehe.

btw, did you know that one phone, one brand, one model, can be made of different parts from a batch to another batch. but they all run on the same software.

I think it will take so much effort to kill the iPhone because of all the apps available.

Nothing can kill the iphone... instead they surpass in terms of features, specs and the price...

Comparing the UI of different Mobile OS, the winner will depends on the end users. some would like to have a minimalistic approach while others would like to have a complicated UI effects which is evident with the latest iteration of Android, Windows Phone, Symbian, etc.

what makes android stand from iphone is that it's being an open source OS.

i think there's no iphone killer...cause apple has made their products a part of our culture..samot na dd2 sa US...you stand in if you have an apple gadget there..take a loot at movies and celebrities...if he's not bringing a macbook, he using an iPhone..rarely do i see other brands...
