the only time you get me to speak in english is when i lose my temper...ahahaha...

i have a bf...who used to be a call center agent....

he partly grew up in the states so the english language comes naturally...

however, he tries to speak in cebuano....anywhere...

and only speaks in english when spoken to in the same manner...

the same thing goes to me...

pareho mi bisdak..pero if mag ininglis cya..mag ininglis nako...wahahaha...

it's fine to speak english anywhere...as long as you are spoken to in the same manner...

or if it helps you express yourself...

but when it becomes a way for one to supersize his or her ego then that is something else...

i don't mind hearing call center agents speaking in english...that's their business anyway...

i just don't like the idea of them speaking such language when paying his fare in a jeepney...

and goes like "hey man, can pass my fare to the driver please" unya ang giingnan kai tiguwang na g ango ango na itnawon....

the same thing for the balot scenario...

being fluent in english is great just don't use it to inflate your ego some more...

OT: kanumdom ko naa ko nadunggan..babay..nakig storya sa iyang uyab na foreigner...

ana xa...its not im giving up.i textd u i love u many times but you dont't answer i love you too...

no no its not about the money..i love u i show u already....i show you many times...

it may sound funny..but then do we have any idea how hard it is for them to communicate in english...

the language they are not very good at....

    well said...well said

    @elia
clearly u missed the point here and the issue-- fact about the usage of proper english--the venue or necessity, its true purpose or essence.

and clearly some, if not most doesnt even have the slightest idea which or what is fluent english or exerting too much effort to sound fluent. theres a big difference

so again think whom you adore.
or better yet read the entire thread.
    peace!!!

Si lola tawn, nihangyo kay wala kasabot sa iyang gipangyaw2x.

    Unsay inyong ikasulti ana?

btaw...ako sad wala kasabot ngano ing ana. naa bya jud uban taw mas mka express sa ilang kaugalingon in english. and if you're working in a call center, angay ra sad na magcge ka sturya in english because that will enhance your communication skills and will make you more confident and comfortable with the language. you use that at work so if it helps, by all means speak in english. kevs sa masuya. hahaha

i have nothing against those CCA's speaking in english in public places, but i dont get the point, that even at their "OFF" time, they're still wearing their huge company IDs...with the thick sling hangin at their necks..they feel like they look so good. even in the malls..i dont know if they're doing it intentionally, or they just want to let people know, that.."hey, i work in a call center"..
