bro murag bali lage ko...hehehehe...bati ang dell na laptop...tried it and tested...basta ako brother kay nipalit ug dell inspiron nga laptop...pero iya gi-pa customized ang specs para high-end...after 1 year kay guba...then palit cya ug dell xps laptop...mao gihapon, gi-pa high-end ang specs...after 1 year gihapon, guba...then ni sulti jud tong onsite support engineer nila nga daghan jud guba ang dell...hahahhaha,paita bitaw...mao nga ako nipalit ko ug ibm lenovo nga laptop...gahi jud cya

clones refer to non-IBM machines. when IBM invented desktop computers, all else were "clones".

u may use "branded" instead of "clones".

as for brands, go for HP.

ganahan unta ko sa dell kadtong tag 35k na laptop but wala man gud mga lights for the caps, etc etc.. akong gamit now is inspiron 1200 bought few years back..wla kaayo heavy use mao na ok ra for browsing..hinay kau coz celeron m ra..haha

naay barato na toshiba laptop available sa states pero perting mahala magpa checkup after the warranty (2800 for non hardware repair, 7k above for hardware..sa ilang service center). nami mga 3 toshiba laptops before, durable pud bya unta..

for the pc, if ever magpa assemble ko, asa ko mo adto? hehe daghan promo2x ang mga computer shops but tanaw nko maybe mailad cgro ko..noob raba! hahah

branded PC are over rated...

the only gud thing about it is that the components are pre-tested for compatibility before being shelf-out.

and sometimes pre installed ( with many things not useful )

this makers ( IBM.HP.DELL.etc ) doesnt make their own components.it uses the same components we can buy off-shelf (sort-of ) from computer stores ( except for enthusiast class parts that u have to order from .andz.ryan. lunch.etc ).
that pc makers ( assemblers is the appropriate name ), gathers the parts they order from makers such as .kingston.hec.corsair.asus.foxconn.intel.amd..ati. nvidia. etc. , then pre-tested it then post it in the site as a set.

the only difference between ur branded PC and my clone PC even if it will contain the same set?

THE MODEL NAME!

and the PARTS NAME ,cause all the parts have been rebranded -away from the original makers.

HP never make their own LGA775 mobo. nor make their own Power supply or EIDE Cables.

mahala.. i can do software error fix for php500 as basic rate.. i don't do laptop hardware though.except for some minor replaceable parts.

already bought 3 cpus for my clients and until now. noe of them had complains whatsoever.
