Oohh sigurado ka? ug moingon si PJ nga as a tax payer and like you who has this basic right, he will also invoke it, unsa kaha? Di man paglaban ning ako ni PJ but he has also his katungod nga gi garantiyahan sa atong konstitusyon. Di nalang sa iyang pagka kongresman. Call it naki sawsaw just like you nga nakisawsaw sad.
Hehe...that's how you always see it my friends nga mga Tomasians, you always view good intentions with malice and with hidden agendas. You don't differ from your IDOL mao nga mag hambin pirme ug pagduda ang inyong mga kasingkasing. Look at your comments here my dear Tomasians, you don't have that much distance sa pagka arrogante ni Tomas.[/QUOTE
Good intentions$$$ Kay naa man gud involve nga dako nga kwarta.
THough ang third district kutob ras Barili pero you seem to have some arguments on the bad road that leads to Dumanjug. In fact this is the main reason why Georgia is running because of the bad roads in the City nga wa na tagda sa iyang igsoon kay ang pangwarta unya nato dia man sa SRP inig retire ba. So way magpugong nimo ug adto dyud ka sa imong idol nga arrogante kay ug nimo pa may agi. Tan-awa ng dalan diha sa Barili og Dumanjug nindot ba, unya naa bay kalambuan silang nahimo sa probinsiya?. ayaw pataka'g pamasangil Do! Tomas taunts Capitol about ‘dark towns’
THE Cebu City Government put up two signs at the South Road Properties (SRP) to taunt leaders of the Cebu Provincial Government.
Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia declined to comment, saying the move was “not worth reacting to” but two of her allies called it petty and childish, and suggested a rewrite of the signs.
One sign, propped up by wooden poles and printed in bold letters on a green board, reads, “Please dim your lights.”
It is the first sign that motorists coming from Talisay City will notice, followed by the next sign a few meters ahead that reads, “This is not the Province.”
The same words were printed on the back of the signs and can also be read in the same order by motorists leaving the city.
Mayor Tomas Osmeña, who was in Camiguin yesterday, previously told reporters he meant the signs as traffic advisories.
Since motorists in the province are “used to driving in the dark,” the mayor is advising them to dim their lights when they reach the city, “which is well-lighted,” for them to avoid accidents.
He had previously called Governor Garcia the “queen of darkness.”
The governor, however, previously pointed out the Capitol has energized almost all barangays, except for far-flung villages that the Cebu Electric Cooperative declared to be “uneconomical” to supply power to.
Rep. Pablo John Garcia (Cebu Province, 3rd district) said the signs were “childish” while Capitol consultant on information and revenue generation Rory Jon Sepulveda called the move “petty.”
Pablo John said that perhaps the City meant, “Please dim your view of the City’s future.”
Sepulveda suggested that the City put up signs on potholed city streets that would say, “I’m sorry to the Cebuanos, this is not the Province.”
The mayor and the governor have not been on good terms after a falling-out in 2006 that resulted from the aborted exchange of City lots at the North Reclamation Area and Capitol properties occupied by residents in different barangays of the city.
Osmeña, who is on leave, was also recently photographed with a T-shirt marked: SRP, “Suya ra ang Probinsya.”
“Petty things amuse petty minds,” said Sepulveda.
Congressman Garcia also relayed an anecdote about a heckler who, in a Pardo gathering, also said that SRP could mean “Sayon ra ang Pangwarta.”
“People see through his gimmicks and antics. The people cannot be fooled.”
“The City is wallowing in debt and it seems that Mayor Osmeña cannot solve that problem,” he added, referring to the P6-billion loan City Hall obtained to build the SRP. (RHM/JGA)
