Lip, hop into a oldschool starlet with a 2tg and your good to go
Maybe the hillclimb is not yet happening anytime soon so I would like to extend and invitation to whoever has interest in seeing where their old school performance cars will stand....
I just came from our regular bimmerclub meeting discussing the AUTOCROSS OLD SCHOOL BMW class that I proposed to the club....the feedback I got from the group is that it would be better to make it an AUTOCROSS CLASSIC EURO CLASS hoping to get the grid bigger and have more participants....
The track design will have a total distance of around 1.3 kilometers and a full lap should take just over 2 minutes. The slowest corner will be approximately 40km/h, and a top speed of close to 90 km/h....basically 1st and 2nd gear only. We will not be putting very tight corners and the gates will be wider to make things more interesting....
bimmercebu is hoping to get other brands of euro cars to join...if not on this race, when I hope soon!!!!
Thanks for the invite JPN, I will inform the guys. Btw how do you define the Classic Euro Class?
pace,
we just wanna come up with an additional class that will showcase euro classic sports cars that will run on their own class and not let "hard core" race cars join that particular class so the competitiveness will not be ruined..... so maybe you can help us define and draft the way we regulate which cars models can join, tire regulation etc........our objective is to see nice old nice euro cars run against each other...
I agree with Jpn.....
pace,
If as of the moment none of you have plans to join, still try and drop by, I will give you the opportunity to drive the track just so you can experience the kind off track we do have for autocross events and you can share the experience...its not too hard on the cars and a vey safe environment where you can test the limits of adhesion of your cars with our much risk of damage...
