Say, I believe that I have an invisible friend in my house that talks to me when I'm alone, cheer's me up when I'm down, tells me the beauty of life despite its apparent ugliness and things like that..feel good stuff they say.

Of course everything is illogical and perhaps downright delusional..but then again even if I'm that, deep down I'm really happy and at peace with myself. Naturally, if a person is truly happy inside, he is not only be at peace with himself but more so with other people. Happy people can easily tolerate obnoxious and prickly people.

Say, you ask me why I'm that happy? naturally my reply would be my invisible best friend in my house that is having that effect on me. I say invisible because apart from me nobody can see this friend of mine, nevertheless you can see that I'm really happy and it's clear to you that without this supposed invisible friend I would be miserable. No matter how much you try to talk about logic in my case I would not have any of it, since I if do I would be back to my miserable self, considering that I have only one life to live in misery and despair.

This invisible friend of mine is simply the truth I come to believe and since Truth, is like that apparent horizon that is forever receding, I think each man has it's own 'invisible friend' of their own.

So tell me your view why is logic more important than happiness in ones' life- that there is God?

Thanks for you input Existanz... for me.. I have no qualms with people who live happily by believing on their imaginary friend although it may seem kinda strange and we have a term for that it's schizophrenia... you might want to check on that and it's curable.. the thing that ticks me off is when people try to influence my way of life and thinking just because what this so called imaginary friend said. Like what's happening right now on the boards.. I notice that people are bickering over what the bible has writtten by a supposedly imanigary friend, each party has it's own translation and one condemning the other.. like I think.. wtf people you are arguing, insulting, fighting over "nothing", both parties would defend because of their religious faith.. I think you haven't truly grasped the idea of the video.. but as my past experiences with you.. it would really be a waste of my time and yours for me to explain and discuss the finer points of the video... this video is not about converting you or anybody else.. it's about one man's understanding of what religious faith really is and I happen to agree with it.. you can disagree with it and i don't really care.. you are a hopeless case which is a sentiment I share with all the users here..
