maayo gani kay naka decide cya pag duwa sa National Team. The PBA is only a very small stage to show your talent. With the national Team you can show the rest of asia and perhaps the world with what you can do as a player.

if he opted to sign with burger king.. he will only showcase his talent here in the phils. and will not grow much as a player

if he plays for the national team.. he can showcase his talent to the rest of asia and grow to his full potential as a player

Question: If you think maayo ka nga player would you play for PBA or National Team and make the world your stage?

i dont think the issue here is where he is best suited to play, or whether he is that good or not. the issue at hand, i believe, is he gave his word to burger king that he wanted to play in the PBA. as a result, burger king drafted him as the number 1 pick. para lang nako, what he did was so unfair to burger king coz sayang kaau ila no 1 pick when they could have opted to choose another player. karon nuon they have nothing to show for it. in other words, he doesnt know how to honor his commitment and stand by his words, which clearly shows lack of professionalism no matter how you look at it.

this is just my unbiased opinion.

japeth is confused actually. i would still advice to forego with PBA and let SBP and BK Management work out a deal to get Japeth for Gilas Full Time and not part time.

for me, bsan asa mu adto c japeth, wa koy labot coz iya jud nang decision on what he thinks is best for him and his future. the sad part about it lang jud was he should have made that decision before he committed to the PBA by entering the draft. mao ra jud na ako point. and most likely, as what digitalsuperman said, he is currently confused. but the problem now lies na there are consequences to every action..and to leave one hanging just because you had a sudden change of heart is not just and fair from my point of view. this brings to mind what happened to pacquiao when he signed with oscar dela hoya and with bob arum when he was still under contract with the other party. i just hope na this isnt a reflection on us filipinos as a whole.

by the way, in the case with the rubio thing, minnesota knew exactly what they were in for when they took the risk of drafting rubio...they knew beforehand that rubio was still under contract with his current team in spain. they just decided the risk was worth taking.

for me lang,m the best thing to do for japeth cguro is to honor his word with BK. he can negotiate his contract with BK, say 2years lang, then after ana, he can still join the National team at a later date. after all, im sure na the program for the NT will still be in place..and he is still yoing enough. furthermore, on his spare time, he can still continue to train with the NT under toroman...that is if his contract allows it (kay ma injured nya).

actually he needs money for his family. his father peter works only as kargador sa america while his mother works as a caregiver. both gilas and bk offered japeth the same amount. his parents are earning but just enough i guess..

unsa jud kaha ang rules to ban a player sa PBA?...kung breach of contract -- wa man puy gipirmahan si japeth...so walay contract, i think. kung verbal agreement lang, its a weaker form of contract man...dli jud ni cya parehas anang naay gipermahan...BK made an offer, which is not yet a contract unless japeth accepted it by singing the offer sheet.. i think kung Dad`on ni sa Supreme Court, murag mapildi jud sa debate ang mga taga BK ani...

wa sad ko kahibaw..but maybe naay agreement or terms and conditions nga ila g.signan upon filing for their applications for the draft. i dont know sad jud..im only guessing here lang. or maybe they have to authority to impose a lifetime ban on him sa PBA..after all, mura ra gud if you have a business and you can decide nga you will never emply a certain individual. i guess all the teams could agree that they would never sign him to a contract ever..or the PBA board of governors could make that rule para lifetime jud and all teams would have to abide by it. i think its legal..after all they are not suing him for breach of contract. they are merely imposing a ban from their league..so i guess they can do that.

again, warning lang, that's just me thinking aloud.
