Bro, if you wanna compare 3 flavors of OS, try Windows, Linux and Solaris. AMD is a proccesor. Athlon is a kind of AMD.
Ako, I use Win x64 because of my games, but I'm sure if I were to set up an office today, I would be using either Linux or Solaris because they both have free versions. I would spend half of what I would if I used Microsoft powered software.
Already, I've removed Microsoft Office from two of my 3 machines kay na luya ko sige'g apas sa presyo. I now run Open office on both. Solaris is made by Sun which also makes Open office so I'm guessing seamless if you combine these two, but I'm still trying to work out the bugs in my Linux installation then plan to test Vista next, so dugay pa ko ka try out ug Solaris.
bro OS ang linux ug windows... walay labot ang athlon... kanang athlon, processor na.Originally Posted by ztan

one whole page just to clear that up?! wth?
anyway,
i'm all for windows....why? because it's easy to use...why? because everything was made by a single entity...which we call Microscope...i think...why? because they make money if they sold it to millions and millions of people who don't know that Linux existed...
on the other hand, in the linux arena...i like openSUSE....why? because it's easy to use...why? because again, it was created by a single entity...called Novell....why? unlike Microscope, the maker of Windows, they're not after the dough...they want the popularity...why? so people will call them "cool" and they can get laid more often....
Think about it. It's a nice pickup line....
Man: Hey, did you know I was one of the creators of openSUSE?
Chick: Oohh really? Why didn't you say so? I'll take my panties off now.
depende mga bro!!!!!
I've been using Windows for more than a decade now.. So, naturally I'd go for Windows... It's quite easy to use and alot of softwares are built for this environment.
But I've heard that the Linux environment has one of the best memory management algorithm known. But then again, whats going to stop Microsoft from copying it and sell it? Especially with their new Windows Vista is just around the corner...
Another thing I like about the Linux is that it has those Live cds that enables you to boot a Linux environment from a cd without having to install it. But from what I've experienced, it requires alot of RAM...
Overall, both Linux and Windows are notable OS. It just depends on personal preferences and intention of use.
depende lagi na bro!!! kay naay advantage ug dis advantage ang duha!!!
