what if CRUISE SHIP (so gatravel from europe to the carribean)? i don't know sa rank kai naassigned man sa STOCKS dapit? any idea guys pila sweldo ana?

Everything would depend to first, the rank, second, the industry of the shipping company and third, the location. As for the rank, the lowest would be the OS (Ordinary Seaman) then AB (Able-Bodied Seaman) then followed by the Third Mates, Second Mates, Chief Mate and the Captain. The same with the Marine (those below the deck), except that the Captain is called Chief Engineer. As for the industry, there are the cruise ships, the reefer ships, cargo ships and tanker ships. The highest paying industry among all is of course the tanker ships. As for the location, there are those who travel internationally, by continent (cruise ships) or by a local country only. You cannot really quantify the amount of salary not unless you specify what rank are you, what kind of ship and which country/countries you are assigned.

I know this because my dad is a seafarer for almost 30 years already.

IMO if seaman ko kay i will work for 10 years then mag tigum..after ana mu retire na to do a business...dli ko mag seaman forever until ma tiguwang..hehehe..kay ang kwarta ra ana mahurot sa tambal sa high blood ug diabetes.....so tigum mode sah jd mintras mag seaman pah..then retire kay mag negosyo to be with your family.....

ang sweldo mag depend man jud na sa rank nimo og sa kadugayon nimo... if bag.o palang ka aw ayaw nalang pag expect nga dako imu sweldo compared sa imu mga kauban nga dugay na...

nagka nindot pa gyud karon ky ika 2 nalng ka mag exam para ma highest rank ka!!

first exam sa deck officer if pasar ka ky 2nd mate daun imo license, then sakay ka for 36 months or

depende sa imo company kung pila ka months then naog ka exam nsad for Captain License..

Captain sa sa General Cargo , Bulk Carrier , Container vessel is $ 7,000 - 8,000 / month, pag naog nmo

ky leave with pay pa gyud ka, labi na kung tanker imo vessel like Chemical Tanker, VLCC, LPG tankers,

LNG, imo sweldo ky $9,000 - 10,000 per month,, pila na kha na in pesos!! maglibog ka unsaon pag
