sus uy, away away man mo anang camera brand go with what you think is best for you each has it's pros and cons. in the film era, nikon was up ahead, but when the digital hype came in, canon took the marketing lead. i'm not pro canon ha, that's just fact.

this topic about nikon vs canon has been discussed, fought about in almost all photography boards, ayaw na lang ninyo dungagi lol mas maayo nga palit na lang mo og camera and start shooting

I just browsed National Geographic's site about the preferences of its photographers and it amazed me that neither Canon or Nikon (digital or film) made it to the number one list..

Ni come in sad tung Hasselblad... pero anyways going back to the Topic, canon vs. Nikon, I think I would prefer Canon because naa silay Service Center -- at least pwede ka magpa limpyo sa lens didto, mag pa Calibrate ba ron or unsa.... Kung Nikon pa, ummm, don't tell me imu ipadagan sa Allen's kung maguba imong Nikon digital.... hehehehehehehehehehehe

THE BEST WAY TO COMPARE is buy a CANON BODY and a NIKON BODY. Then tell us................

sure thing canon has a service center but due to the volume of repairs they handle nowadays, grabe ka dugay ang repair. took a month to repair my 300D, not just mine ha take note. i think 5 mi nagdungan pa repair with almost the same problem and it's less than 6 months of use. but then again its better than having to send our eqipment to manila or singapore. my lens will be one year na with canon and till now wa pa ghapon parts available.

for those who can affort the white lens good for them...

nothing wrong with wanting something better, more superior. extend the bounderies. extend the limitation of what you can do. im all for that!

but i must iriterate that it's not the brand that make the picture.

both are good bt i wud go for canon bcoz of its service warranty by canon phils

You'll always have 2 sides of the story when you mention Canon vs. Nikon. Both have very capable body/lens systems. Is full frame important to you? Canon has it, Nikon don't. Beside the body, also look at the lenses for each brand. Canon tend to have better telephoto lenses while Nikon may have the edge for WA lenses, of course this is just my opinion. That said, I prefer Canon. I now have the Canon 20D and may upgrade to the 5D or its replacement in the near future.
