If your teeth are not much maloccluded (misaligned, overlapping teeth), having braces would be easier and less painful. Just make sure you go to a CERTIFIED orthodontist. A cheaper price doesnt mean that the service is haphazard, talk to your dentist and have him discuss his treatment plan on you, and if your guts says he's right for you, then go for it.
having braces would be easier and less painful wow...am still afraid..kidding..

ok let me lay on the cards..
my dentist is Dr. Alma Albarillo, DDM...do u know her VLAKEwarren??
I already knew a little background of her college life...like I mentioned in my previous post, she had me since last yr..

by "less painful" I was referring to the ortho treatment with your present condition (which are only gaps in between) as COMPARED to ortho treatment if you have overlapping teeth. I just want to stress that with braces, it is REALLY PAINFUL. At first, it would really feel as if your teeth are falling off! and the good thing is, you'd get slimmer because chances are, you wouldnt want to eat. But after a month or two, the pain fades away, and the you wouldnt even notice the pressure anymore after months of having it. Just be carefuL with your inner cheeks because they are easily wounded by the brackets.
You an also have the brackets in WHITE, so it is less noticeable, but its kinda expensive though.
Theres also INVISALIGN™ but I dont know if its available here.

best of luck with your treatment.

My doctor in Cebu is Dr.Omega. Kinda expensive, but its worth a shot to go to his clinic and ask him personally regarding his FULL ORTHO treatment's COST. I cant recommend other dentists since I havent tried their services. His clinic is in Coco MAll. He's a good talker, and makes you comfortable. Hes also good.

    re: pain

i'm sure it depends on the condition of your teeth. if it's really that bad, crooked, and far off from the axis then that i have no doubt it would be a painful experience. more so when you needed a tooth or two extracted to shape them up. but if it's only a small gap, minor realigning then you will in all likelihood just feel the pressure, not pain. so, go now, see your dentist, nothing to be scared about .

i'm just sharing this from experience.
