.edited.
copy pasting what i posted on other forums.
finally going 1792mb. bahala na. piyongan na lang.
this is my main reason -
im going sli thats for sure. id rather have SLI of 1792mb recognized as RAM than the SLI - 896mb version.
below are somewhat my other reasons.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Review: Ati Radeon HD 4890 versus Nvidia Geforce GTX 275 - Test, Ati Radeon HD 4890, Nvidia Geforce GTX 275, RV790, graphics card - PC Games Hardware
gtx 260 (896mb) vs gtx 275 (896mb) - gtx 275 gained avg of 3-5fps
then look at the 512mb vs 1gb
4870 512mb vs 4870 1gb - on some games - 1gb gained 5-10fps+, 1-5fps on others
this site AnandTech: ATI Radeon HD 4890 vs. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275
1gb version vs 512mb also gained 1-5fps
Exclusive: Galaxy Non-reference GTX260 VGA Card With 1792MB Memory - Expreview.com
on this site, they compare 896mb and 1796mb.
crisis - no notable gains
war in conflict gained 5-10fps
company of heroes - gained 4fps.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
buy gtx 275 896mb and expect 2-5 more fps than the gtx 260 sp216.
or
gtx 260 sp216 - 1792mb and expect 1-2 more fps (just like buying gtx 275) and 5-10 probably on other games and future games
