are you talking about a 20 meter cat5/rj45 wire?
cat5 cables have 8 wires, 4 of the wires there are not being used. blue/striped & brown/striped
you can ask some techie to do a little hack job, cut the above wires at both ends and solder
an RJ11 wire at both ends with female RJ11 connector jacks, one end for the wall, and the other for the phone.

What he said, interesting pud ni. Pero kung ang rj45/cat5 naka connect sa router then modem, wa gihapon makuha na dialtone.

ed168II, mura wa na ko nahibaw-an. AFAIK, for example ang magicjack, nakaconnect na sa server nila based in US and serviced by AT&T. Kung USB device that works like a magicjack, mura wa pa ni offer ani na service diri pinas. Somebody should offer this one, it has a great potential, pero naa na man gud sun cellular.

RJ11 is a telephone wire. He's just going to be using the rj45/cat5 as a very long extension. He is going to solder the RJ11 to the vacant wires at both ends. Then connect it to the phone wall-jack in the room where there is a phone service. Then connect the other end to the phone is in room. The RJ45 connectors are still going to be connected to the router.
I think this solution is too complicated for you guys to understand. Nevermind.
