GGB kaayo.. kaisa gadali2x kog hatag ug tambal, nahulog nuon sa floor ang tablet.. i know minor ra, pero dli ko kalimot ani.. lols.. anyway, nanguha rakog lain gikan sa iyang stock then paglunchtime kay nipalit ko then gi-replace nko sa iyang stock (i made sure nga same brand name).. kadaghan na pud ko kasuway mahubsan IVF ang patient.. baw lage pangita syringe para ma-expel ang air..
Katu student nurse paku, mag rattle2x sa OR during an operation kay wa kaila sa gipangayu na instrument or unsa na sunod ihatag labi na CS kay pinaspasay. May gani naa ang CI. Hehe.
@reginakrys : dako na imong tiyan hehe when's the due date?

OnT:
Nag-admit kog 2-yr old, gihatagan nakog initial IVTT meds pero kalimot kog ANST!!!
Nangayo nalang kog sorry then ni-extend kog another shift pra mabantayan if nag allergic reaction ba ang bata. Thankfully, he was fine.
Hehehe Naka-agi pod cguro toh syag similar experiences katong bag-o pa sya na-nurse.
Given 100mg Tramadol IVTT instead of the ordered 50mg...
Nalipong jud ang pasyente... Maygani wala ra pud ng hypotension...
After 30mins rest, he went home fine...
Volunteer pko ato... Namugnaw ko sa akong singot!
Never committed another mistake with regards to meds again...
Mistakes are meant to be learned so you can avoid it and know how to handle the situation the next time something like it occurs...
Tambag lang... DOUBLE CHECK THE DOSAGE ORDERED!!!
I can be paranoid at times I know... Dili ko kasalig ug trainees dayon... They must earn their due...
New batch of volunteers nga e train na pud mi... I really enjoy it though...

maka ingon jud ko lisod ang nars ui...lisod raba kaayo huna hunaun if masayop ang usa ka nars kay were dealing with life here rba...cge gudluck nlang ninyong mga nars dont forget to pray....
Oh my God!!!
With these kinds of mistakes with patient care, kung diri pana siya sa USA, na bankrupt na ang hospital!
Nahimong practisanan ang Filipino patients.... my goodness!!!! I am almost to say nga mura man piyong piyungan...but that would be unfair also.
However, tungod sa heavy load, very unsystematic procedures, scattered equipments, no wonder jud.
With these kind of environment, anad jud daan ang Filipino nurses sa pressure.
Diri sa USA, let's put it this way..... ang doctor naa assistant; ang assistant sa doctor naa assistant nga nurse; ang nurse nga assistant sa doctor, naa assistant nurse; ang kana nga assistant, naa pa jud assistant. Basically, all scope of work, naay in-charge.
One person has a specific scope of responsibility, syaro maglibog pa jud. And then add to that, mga technologically inclined equipments that basically make diagnosis much easier and much faster. Walay tagna-tagna!
Sa Pinas, kay ang nurse nahimong bed-keeper as well. How about tig-clean pud sa hospital windows? Plus long shifts pa jud. And please DO NOT MENTION, the pay...... And that's suppose to equate to good quality medical care?
We get what pay for.... However, this issue is almost irrelevant. Keeping the Filipino alive and well is the least of our gov't's priorities.
You're on your own. It is what it is.
ako....last yr, dili lang sa hosp, home setting.. before my cousin and uncle left for a vacation, nagpa.flu vaccine sila...niya ako, since dugai2x na way practice pero sa ngalan na nurse, ako ang gi.pa.inject nila... ahak...kuyawan man ko...first time jud nag.shake ako hands tungod sa hadlok... wah..nahagbong bitaw na ang pre.filled na syringe... ahaka ayo na lang okay ra sa ko ig.agaw....anyways, abi nako di na nya padayunon, ana man siya, gi lang, wala man ni.touch ang needle sa floor... ana ko, sure ka? ana siya oo oi... mao to...inject daun q...may na lang okay man sila hangtud karon..way complications whatsoever,,,
r u working at CHH right? the word ggb is rampant and frequently heard at station.. hehe...learn at your mistake and be confident specially when your patient is from usa or any other country because the way they interrogate you will make them know if your competent or not. another thing also , because im working at this JCI accredited hospital , every patient is very meticulous and informed, just a simple mistake they will make it big to the point reporting it right away to the admin , so be careful all the time and presence of mind...
