    another film here, taken last month. i went there with 9 friends. we arrive in Legaspi, went to Lignon Hill (a few friends tried their zipline and ATV ride), tasted Bicol food at Daraga market, Small Talk Cafe, & Hawak Kamay. Hung out at Embarcadero. Hot Springs In Sorsogon

    Nice ang Donsol and the whale shark encounters are very well organized at the community level.

    For even more spectacular encounters with these gentle giants, try Sogod, Southern Leyte. Mas tin-aw ang tubig kumpara sa Donsol. Bisan layo ang whale shark makakita ka. Usahay duha magdungan. Unlike Donsol, you have the option of scuba diving but since the cumbersome gear only slows you down in the water, everyone elected to snorkel.

    Here's a shot of what we estimated to be a 25 to 30-foot whale shark (it was as big as a minibus, that's for sure) swimming several feet below us, taken in Sogod in 2007. Note damage to its dorsal fin, probably from a passing ship's propeller.
