bad sectors can't be moved. they're physical damages on the platter itself. what a format does is mark these sectors as bad so the OS won't use them.

puno lng ko, bad sectors cant be repaired but they can be marked as unusable... but the data on the rest of the disk is unaffected... the total disk capacity will be decreased... depende kung pila ang na kaltas na bad sectors... pero, dont worry ky ang sectors is the smallest storage area sa imng hard disk... in one hdd, millions na ang sectors ana...

gamay ra na oi... naa koy pIII with 10gb HDD... 7 years na nku krn... gi hatag na ni nku sa akng nephew... OK pa mn ang HDD... bag-0 lng nku gi format before nku gi hatag niya... good as new...hehe... hinay lng...

hahaha ok rah na oi... dili na maguba.. ako gani b4 cegi ko format.. dili man ko kabaw mo manage b4 pero wala man ma guba ako harddisk... buhi pa gihapon karon.. hehehehe

dili ra diay ako ang naay ingon ani nga hobby, haha. sauna, in a week, more than 10x ko mag reformat hehe.gamay lang error format dayun, maka addik man gud ang reformat haha. labi na ig human nimo ug install sa windows, all new again.

but, i stoped kay one time nag reformat ko then nag brownout... pag abli sa kuryente di na mu register akung hardisk,,,,,, i bought a new one, and promised to my self nga mag reformat ko every 6months nalang .. but anyway, i dont think nga nadaut to tungod sa reformat, but becos naabtan ug brownout akung reformat... i think that hardisk (seagate) survived more than 50 reformats, na memorize gud nako ang serial number sa windows ME, sa sigeg balik balik ug install, and until now i still can remember it, eventhough xp na ko for years now

OT lang: patabang ko ninyo guys... unsaon man pagremove sa hard disk password? kay nienter ko sa BIOS, nagsuway2x ko add password for the harddisk and i thought madisable ra but dli naman ui... unsaon mani pagremove? kay hasulan naman gud ko everytime e-on nako ang PC mangayo sya ug HD password. Pls help. Tnx!

I have reformat my computer mga 50x na cguro. Kanang gamay lng na muhinay unya gatoo ko naay virus reformat dayon, cgi reformat, ganahan unta ko maguba di man sad.

ASUS laptop akoa. Wala ba diay way to remove it without contacting the manufacturer? Wlay bay software or commands na makaparemove ani?

hard drive password is unique to the manufacturer, mao nang sila ra ang maka remove ana.
