hmmm...

im not an intel fan here.. but i guess intel by that time when AMD will launch 12 core. they will hve 24 core. hahaha.. ddnt read any roadmap by intel lately. but havent you been thinking, if AMD is launching a 12 core. intel wont just sit around and watch.. they have something in their dungeon of monopoly... hehehe.

i guess they are busy with the Laugha-bee project

24 cores? murag dili pa kelangan ang ingon-ana ka daghan para sa desktops. i'm not so sure para sa mga ordinary servers, pero for enterprise, basin pa. but the war karon is the race for performane from the number of cores, not the number of cores itself. (consider a C2D vs a PhenomX4 in some senarios, or a C2Q for that matter)

again, i'm no intel fanboy, but hey, 24 cores is nothing shocking to intel. refer to my previous posts for an 80-core prototype.

not all programs can utilized a 24 cored processor.. take the i7 for example. it gives only some application some boost.. not all in games.!

in other words.. this is just Publicity. hehehe.!

this is not the case at all. more cores does not AUTOMATICALLY translate to better performance. there's core management, cache management, and many other factors to consider. which one would you get, a quad core with a 2 MHz speed or a single core with 6GHz speed? (consider both to be functional and defect-free).

basically, it's all about scalability, performance, efficiency, and pricing.
