having your phone flashed by someone other than
nokia care voids your warranty. having your phone touched by someone other than nokia care
voids your warranty. doing anything that voids your warranty is foolish. i don't want to do
    anything foolish
if its nokia upgrading, i have ORIGINAL NOKIA SERVICE tools.
yong made by nokia gyud. the same software used by them(phoenix). how can you go wrong with that. i also have countless other tools for service that semicon and brightpoint cant get. i have all the advance softwares even before semicon and brightpoint gets them. thats why they dont have 5. 27. naka 4.19 pa sila and last year pa ng uban nagpa upgrade nako to 5.27 like shadow.

having it flashed or upgraded by me i will gurantee you will NOT VOID WARRANTY. warranty can only be void should you want me to open up the phone to check inside the hardware,by break the warranty sticker. but if u insist theres work around that pagyud half the time

im very transparent when i comes to that i knw what im talking about. trust me you are foolish to believe everything they say

unlocking of cellphone will also void warranty but i can also reverse that process relock the phone so that you can claim the warranty. theres virtualy nothing we can't do

bro, i have no doubt that you believe you're as good as what you think you are or
that you're equipments are at par with those used by service centers but you're
missing the point. i was _still_ under warranty at that time, so it's would have been
foolish for me to have my phone upgraded by someone other than a nokia service
    center.

and where in the thread did you get the idea that i "believe everything they say"?
i pretty much don't believe in anything unless i peed on it myself.

with regards to your claim about getting "advance" software ahead of semicon/brighpoint, i'm sure you're talking about unofficial softwares anyone
    could download off the internet.
coz no way in hell i would believe you get official nokia tech software ahead of
semicon/brightpoint. see paragraph 2. unless you count softwares nokia post for
    download on their website

bro, as i've said before, flashing/firmware upgrade is a pretty easy thing to do given
you have the right equipment. if i had your equipment and my phone was out of
warranty or semicon/brightpoint didn't yet carry 5.27, i would have flashed it myself.
there's nothing impressive about doing this stuff except maybe to
    a six year old

i didnt mean it that way. sorry if it came out wrong.
ur right anyone can get these softwares off the net im sure.
working with ever growning number of phone, its not as easy as you might think. learning 1 unit sure. learning all units, tough specaily if u have no background in it.given that you have the software and hardware even. why i say this? i train many technicians over the years.
even those with background in cellphone repair, these knowledge are harder to gain than you think, in general but im sure ur capable of it no problem.

but also what i have is 1 up from unofficail site.
direct access to their site (asian and euro nokia partner site)
thats why i can get softwares before local care centers gets.
they wait for the memo from manila nokia phil before they download or update their softwares. if they dont get memo they cant download and install it sa ila comps. as for me, i don't have to wait

what im also mean by being foolish...i wouldnt be foolish geting the upgrade thru me if the warranty lang is the issue. as i tried to explain, it wont be void ako bahala...sagot ko.
that was ur worries kasi. right? other than that its a diff thing

anyhow claiming warranty is the best naman libre pa ang service tama naman yong ginawa mo pero try mo sa brightpoint next time hopefuly youll get better service from them. semicon really terible kasi.

    all is good

all is good bro, no probs here
just explaining my choice and also trying to spread the word coz i think there
are some people who don't yet know that software upgrades are free if you're under
    warranty.

    OT:
btw, the first phones i've flashed were the 5110 and 6150.
this was before mbus cables were available locally. i got the mbus/fbus
schematic diagram off the internet. bought the components at a magallanes
elecronics shop and got it working off a breadboard. bought and condemned a
hands-free kit just so i could connect the phone to the circuit. it was quite an ugly
    hack but it worked.

as i've said there's nothing to it specially if you're so technically inclined.
i'm a programmer (the term used nowadays is software engineer) with a long
standing affair with hardwares. so trust me when i say, i'm so technically inclined.
if only i have the money to much my inclination, i would be one happy geek

and oh... i know you know your way around nokias coz i saw you... http://nokiafree.org

syempre ako gyud na i fix for free kung mainana man gani!
pero ill have you know since i opened shop in emall in 2003 december, and even before that in my old shop, never pa nahitabo na a good working phone ended up messed up after i upgrade it. NEVER. out of probably thousands of units nga na flash nako over the years. NOT ONE GOT MESSED UP.
    zip...zero...nada...zilch...

i normaly charge 500 pesos for that as with other shops.
however all istorya.net members get 50% discount sa akin so 250 nalang.
