nahh.. na off topic man dayon Flash man hisgotan dah....
I have used ownuser for my D40 before. So far it did'nt losen up? By the way ask lang ko asa ninyo gipalit? Mine I bought direct from taiwan.
Ako na gibaligya ang akokng D40 with grip.. kay upgraded na ko to a D300 w/ grip. For me additional stablity kung mag telephoto ka.
@kalanrakas
mao lang ni ako masulti, my other camera is a 350D and sure, the battery grip on it is useful 'coz that camera is relatively small. the grip provides the balance when coupled with my 24-70 L or the 70-200 L.
but gets very heavy when you shoot for a whole day.
for heavier cameras, the grip is not very necessary for the above stated purpose. you can easily do without it.
bought a new MB-D80 grip last week from Photoshoppe at a nice price, it works fine. didn't experience the problem with aftermarket grips,from what i've heared. The battery drains fas,. on my new grip it doesn't and the fit is great. One thing I noticed the shutter release is not a 2 step one not like the primary shutter but i'll get used to it.:o
XYTM and OWNUSER are two of the battery grips i support na 3rd party. personally i like the features of the Ownuser and the looks & feel of the xytm. durability i think xytm should win in that its more a quality built product but prices much higher the ownuser but ~4k lower than the original. design and build sa xytm is almost identical to the original ones. Ownuser is just so darn cheap ~3k less than xytm that its makes it super sulit and it does offer all the features the xytm has plus a whole bunch of features that xytm doesnt have.

for guys with big hands like me, nindot mag batt grip; especially if you have xxxD series na canon, kay medyo slim ra gyud ang grip. pero i guess it's all a matter of preference. as for functionality, aw, nindot gyud ang batt grip - recharge 50% less and more stability especially if you have big and heavy glass.
bro mark, i have an ownuser grip for D40. i have 2 en-el9a batts but they do not have the same capacity. i bought the replacement one from Gizmo. the other one is the original battery from Nikon. is it safe to put them together in the battery grip even if they do not have the same mAh specifications? what i usually do is just put one battery at a time before i can confirm from a reliable source that it is safe to do so.
thanks in advance...
fantastic ergonomic wise, without teh grip my little finger had nothing to hold on to and the extra weight sorta gives my camera a little bit more balance, doubles your battery life. cons though is when im using it with my 70-200mm f2.8 for just about over an hour of taking pictures sore na akong kamot (stripped off the neck strap and replaced it with a grip strap man gud :/) other than this con, highly recommended
