ok if you guys are so serious about becoming a h4x0r, here are some tips for l33tn3$$.
you have to:
1. drop out from school
2. be a non-conformist (yea if you're already anti-social, then proceed to #3)
3. have a very high IQ level
4. and learn to read binaries like they way you're reading this post. (yea like neo)
5. all your friends are from IRC and that you dont have real life friends. (perhaps your dog)
and lastly
6. be a virgin for the rest of your life.
Do you really need to be using linux to be a h4xxor? they say windoze just won't cut it.
I can't beat level 5... I don't know javascript lol.
Some of the hacker tools use:
netcat, whisker, brutus, archilles, cookie pal, teleport pro
Security Recommendations
1. Password strength— Probably the single greatest lesson to be learned from this chapter is the need to strengthen passwords, as doing so covers both brute forcing (Whisker and Brutus) and session impersonation (Achilles and Cookie Pal). Strong passwords lie at the heart of any secure Web site and should be at least 7 characters long and be made up of numerics, characters, and meta-characters such as ?!@#$.
2. System and Web server logging— When brute force tools such as Whisker and Brutus are used, a Web server can receive hundreds of password attempts within a few seconds. Requiring logging onto both the system and the Web server itself goes a long way toward detecting an intruder's password hack attempts.
3. Input sanitization— script developers must sanitize the input received from a user. The data submitted should be checked for data type (integer, string, etc.) and stripped of any undesirable characters such as meta-characters.
