what's ur setup?
wd on master, primary?
cdrom on master, slave?
There is an issue with wdd drives nga you have to set them up properly. .. i give you the link later.
But i tried also with an ecs board before nga gibutang sa secondary ang cdrom kay mo error kung ibutang as slave sa hdd.
dunno. . . try lang bro but i don't think it is the bios (unless ecs gave an update) because this is an nforce 3 board. . . mobasa man gani ang nforce2 unsa na kaha ang nforce 3. . .
It's different with Western Digital drives pre. . . hdd has a lot to do with it.Originally Posted by windox

here's the set up
WD-----> primary master
Cdrom-->secondary master
try to put the cdrom sa primary slave or secondary slave.
set the western digital jumpers properly.
you might have to reinstall windows from scratch.
sir. if mo install ka new hdd. and run new os on it. be sure to make ur bios know that its there.( press delete as u boot. and configure it there. if it a sata, eide. etc..)
i think that just the problem.
and the other is that. wen u install the os on ur wd 80 gb. it was a slave to ur samsung 40gb. maski its bootable cd install or ne install in xp gui environment. it wud still be d same. error!
so u really have to install it all over again.
set ur 80gb as pri master. us cdrom as secondary master. ( pwede ra pud slave sa pri master. but separate is the optimum setup )
i can bet ur hd is just olryt.
they say format the drive c: again,and with my reccommendation of hdd setup. that wud run.
