Hi Springfield! My kids and I have been craving for the same AUTHENTIC mexican burrito you are talking about... and would even settle for the "franchised" ones from El Torito or Chile's or Chevy's... We did try the one at IT park but even the chips are nowhere close to real chips... they served us greasy, "stale" thick corn ones. It had that "recycled" oil taste. We also tried the ones from Mooon Cafe but were disappointed. We miss the bottomless HOT, thin, crispy flour chips and salsa from Chevy's... huhuhuhuhu. The closest we've gone to "authentic" is making it ourselves with canned ingredients (smashed beans with green chile and Enchilada sauce or Taco sauce from Duty Free), but with fresh tomatoes, onions, limes or lemons and cilantro (which you can even find at foodarama) and lots of grated cheese. They don't call it cilantro though, but you'll recognize it when you see it. It is inexpensive. Sometimes we saute beef with garlic and onions and add a "taco" mix from a package but sometimes the kids are satisfied with just going vegetarian. Then we just open bags of chips (either the nacho, taco or restaurant style regular or lime chips). So, until find a place that makes an authentic burrito in Cebu or wait till we get home, I guess this is the best we've come up with. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Ciao!
