how to hide files or folders without using any software?xcept for folder options

ah....ic. i also tried that zip thing and rename. heheh! but what if you got a big file! still if he search it that big file will show up! and what if he knows your technique about zipping and renaming?? what's your defense about that?

kahibao ko...na man dyud command ani bah na powerful kaayo na built in ra dyud sa xp os. or cguro script. kay kung mag install ka third party software gud. makit-an man gud na. unya what if imo kontra kay admin? pwede cguro na niya ma uninstall unya the lock thing wont apply anymore. worse is it will be deleted.

naka hibaw naman sad ko anang hide files na software. it hides everything! like vanished. its like your computer got infected with a virus that deletes all files.

if ever kung naay computer wizard maka basa ani. share naman dyan!hehehe!

I used a folder lock software sa una mura HRVG Folder locker ngan ato, mura iya style kay iyang himu-ong recycle bin or system file imong files.. that helped baya...

kahibaw nako......boot ka sa knoppix..<-mao man guro nang spelling ana.......unya himo ka ug linux partition... unya adto nimo ibutang imong files.... makit-an guro ang imong bag-o nga partition pero dili imong files...

kanang attribute nga command lagi nga gi hatag ni ButtHeads effective kaayo na..panahon pagud ni sa DOS...naka try ko ani using DOS lang og katong windows 3.0 hehehe!!

naa ra registry setting ana bay. pwede nimo i-hide ang drives, pwede sd nimo i-disable ang access sa mga drives... i think NoDrives mn guro to na key...

but actually that's just my first step...

three levels of zip +encrypt ang akoa.

1. zip with password (pwede ra walay password kung limtanon ka)
2. rename the zipped file to any file format
3. do steps 1 and 2 again
4. do steps 1 and 2 again
5. lastly encrypt (not advisable if cge ka format)

I use Folder Lock and Hide Folders XP but since Microsoft released its own freeware for implementing a password protected folder... i'm now using it.

here it is.. Microsoft Private Folder 1.0

i doubt if there'll be a version 2 for this one. Microsoft released it as freeware and was available for download to users with geniune XP OS. Microsoft removed it from its download site after receiving lots of complaints (only a week after its release?). You can, however, still get the software from the net.
