before you continue with the argument, pls do know that the 1987 constitution states clearly that if and should the president declare martial law, this would have to be reported and duly approved by the congress. it also states that martial law can not go beyond 60 days unless extended by congress alone and not the president.

so if mag martial law c GMA, u think the congress would agree? i dont think so. so it's not happening anytime soon. and im sure every single person in the coutnry would go down the streets to rally. it would be twice or even thrice the people power durng marcos' time.

before u continue arguing, pls know the constitution.

we are aware of that and how can it get approved by congress? di ba by a majority vote? and who is the majority right now? see!

we are all paranoid and cringe even at the sound of the word martial law but if it will benefit the entire nation and if MAJORITY of congress approves even if it is a longshot then the president can very well do that.

personally, i believe that filipinos should be under a good and strict dicator, not necessarily GMA. we filipinos do not deserve our democracy. need i say why?

sometimes i want to say to ninoy that "you were dead wrong dude, the filipinos are not worth dying for."
