@orion: thanks
I collect bladed weapons. I'm well-versed with it, especially the throwing part.
I have bayonets for the Japanese Imperial Army rifle, for the Garand, for M14 & M16. I have a katana, some short kris, some pinote, even a tomahawk.
If ever, I'd like to form a knife club, of sorts, and create a website.

Sound like an interesting idea. the knife club could be a lot of fun where members get together to discuss knives and maybe trade or sell.
no? am game.... how do we start?
Try KnifeMaker. It is located in Mandaue before you cross the old bridge going to Lapu-Lapu. It is somewhere across UC-LM. When I was there I saw many knives and swords. They told me they export their knives but they also cater for locals. Regarding the quality, you just try to visit and have a look for yourselves as I'm not an expert. The limitation I think (as with most local knife makers) is the material for the handles and the metal itself.Originally Posted by abuot
Oh, by the way, just being curious. Are any of the knife enthusiasts here also an avid practitioner/or student/ or fan of Eskrima like me?
I have created a site today at Multiply solely for this endeavour. Wala pa siya'y contents, but, hopefully, in the coming days maka-post na ta ug articles and pictures. Click to this link and register - http://cebubladekeepers.multiply.com - and I will designate you as Administrator to improve on this site.Originally Posted by Gills

29 na balisong, a bayonet, a solingen folding knife and a classic victorinox swiss army knife.planning to get my hands on an authentic k-bar
Audentes Fortuna Juvat
Actually 29 is a misnomer and have been associated to a fan knife/balisong/batangas/butterfly knife. It is taken from a radio numeric code for a man armed with a bladed weapon or knife: 10-29. Just like 10-4 for copy that, okay or roger.Originally Posted by 7DMM
My, my you got a good stash of collectible items there, my man. Glad to be in league with someone who knows his blades.
