dili lang nato e underestimate ang capoeira, kay subtle martial art mana cya in my own words...Capoeira is unique in itself for wat is for...the people who created it and are practicing it? have their own ways of thinking that we cant comprehend...but I do believe that those pipol ARE HAPPY PEOPLE AND ENJOYING LIFE THRU DANCING...

I am not a Capoeira practitioner, altho I love watching them...and I admire their flexibility...it is not same as those sports or "martial arts" that uve mention...CAPOEIRA is very subtle and not COMBATIVE...I should say it is the MARTIAL ARTS FOR PEACE LOVING PEOPLE...FUN LOVING PEOPLE...

said my piece...thank u for reading...

sakto ka sir..and in the roda(murag sparring sa ilaha) they never intend to hit thier opponent..in fact, its not the opponent daw that they are trying to conquer..but yourself..

..pero beleive it or not, capoeira has been utilized well in mma..there was one capoeira fighter who won in an mma event in japan..he used the double leg kick(not so sure sa pangan pero capoeira technique jud to) knock out kontra oi...if i remember correctly naa sad toy knock sa Ground and Pound 3 using the capoeira kick "meia lua de compasso",its a purely capoeira kick nga murag circular except that mu dip ang ulo unya ang usa ka kamot kay tukod sa ground..

    so never count capoeiristas out

pero tanawa gud na ilang roda, rare ra kaayo na nga mag inig anay na sila..exept tingali sa mga takedowns and sweeps nila pero panagsa ta man na gamiton sa roda

Some people would mistake CAPOEIRA for BREAKDANCING because of its backflipping/acrobatics move. Honestly, my buddies sometimes hated it if people relate CAPOEIRA to Breakdancing. Hehehehehe

    EBC-Capoeira School in Manila

Imago's vocalist is a Capoeirista too... EBC's Capoeira members kay mga elite sa Manila ui...

It's indeed rare because in RODA.. we play music and sing while two Capoeiristas are playing... Dapat pud na ang rhythm sa moves dapat mo-duyog sa music... RODA means, GAME in CAPOEIRA. It's more like playing and enjoying. We do RODA right after our practice.

In CAPOEIRA.. you will learn how to SING... Play Berimbau (one stringged-arch like instrument / Pandeiros (tambourines) /Reco-Reco (rasp) / an Agogo (double gong bell) / Atabaque (conga-like drum). Berimbau/Pandeiros/Atabaque ra ang pinaka-important in CAPOEIRA music and in RODA... Most important is.. SELF-Defense. CAPOEIRA's moves are ass-kicking! And trust me.. sakit na sya if ma-igo ka...

CAPOEIRA's style has been featured in Commercials and in Movies.. Aeon Flux.... Motorola Commercial.. Cristina A's video - Dirty.. Etc...

Even Ricky Martin did CAPOEIRA in his concert. Hehehe

Guys, I am praying jud na ma-OK akong slipped-disk para mabalik nako sa CAPOEIRA. I really love this art!
