i have been away from this for ages that i even forgot that i had already been registered when i tried to register....
Yesterday (5-30-2009), i dropped by CameraCare owned by Mr. Danny Laurente. He was browsing this thread on his newly acquired laptop when i arrived. He complained that someone had been using CameraCare's name to solicit camera repairs. The guy had the guts to even post his ad here in istorya.net... Danny is a bit worried about this since complaints from disgruntled customers are increasing. Danny had no idea that these customers were allegedly solicited by a certain Jose Jelin "BUTCH" C. Panes via this forum. As rightly observed by bogzz, no permanent address was posted, only a cellphone contact number...this should be a cause for alarm since scamsters operate this way......
Moral of the story: Do not transact business with people/entities who do not post their permanent business address on their ads UNLESS you personally know these guys.
P.S. Do drop by at the Original CameraCare Foto Center located at Belvic Complex for your camera and cam peripheral repairs (DSLRs/Point&Shoot/SLRs/Lenses/etc). Look for Danny or Boyet. These guys are super cool and really know their trade. I have had 3 or 4 of my DSLRs/Point & Shoot digicams repaired by these guys. No complaints so far. Btw, They also maintain the DSLRs and lenses of Sunstar Daily among the other shutterbugs here in Cebu.
