im into jazz music too...
classic jazz, smooth jazz and bossa nova(d best). naa poy mga "horny" jazz haha... like Kenny G's kanang using sax. I listen to crossover, rythm and blues & charlie.

fave bossa nova songs ... girl from ipanema, aguas de marco and agua de bebe. actually daghan pa kana lang ang maidentify nako na titles.

D'sound is a cool group too esp katong older albums.

has anybody here checked out jazz n blues bar near Sarosa Hotel? how was it?

my friends and i had fun there. they had 2 bands doing sets and the musicians are great and really talented. bossa nova, mainstream jazz, latin jazz, blues, broadway, etc. we're no experts in jazz but we were definitely entertained and we're planning to go back one of these days.

When it comes to real jazz, I'm into George Benson, Norman Brown, Tal Farlow, Pat Martino, David Sanborn, Eric Marienthal, Dave Koz, Maceo Parker, Chris Botti, Dave Grusin, Fourplay -- Nathan East, Harvey Mason, Bob James and Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Larry Coryell, Al Di Meola, John MacLaughlin and Maha Vishnu, Chick Corea and many more.

When I'm in the mood for bossa nova, I'd go for Djavan, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Lisa Ono.
