i think its phil jackson who bought the lakers back to the playoffs. he's the brain of this team. bryant is good, but he definitely needs a good tactician behind him. just like jordan, he never won a championship without jackson.
its a good thing to see bryant mature in his game. his timely passes and his shot selection has improved greatly. (maybe a good thing that shaq has left the team).
making it to this season's playoffs was a big thing for the lakers. honestly, i never thought they'll make it. they might lose to the suns in game 7, but for sure they'll be a lot better team next season.
they should develop kwame brown into one of the competitive big men of the league. probably another ben wallace? so they could cope up with other teams, especially facing teams like the spurs and the suns with amare stoudemire

The Lakers have lost focus after that Game 6 defeat...
Game 7 summary... Lakers just shot a disappointing 35% (32/91) from the field, and 29% from the outside (8/27).
They were clearly dominated since the tipoff.
