we are sick of something that we have been trying to solve for ages. and failing everytime. why? our analysis of the whole problem is wrong to begin with.

Most of our politicians too do not have principles.

As I was watching today's ABS-CBN News, Teofisto Guingona graced the launching of Erap's project just outside his Tanay Resthouse.. Erap was even there waving to the people.. Isn't it ironic? During Erap's time, these guys were very vocal against him. And now, Guingona doesn't even attend projects being launched by PGMA..

Not only Guingona, questionable too are these politicians: Sen. Drilon (balimbing eversince and conceitied), Cory Aquino (what happened to the hacienda issue? did you feed your people?), and the bishops and cardinal I mean, what the heck is Philippine politics, game? or just a matter of how much cash these politician are taking from our pocket? They are afraid of president gloria kasi di nila nauuto.

The political culture sa ato dire sa Pinas maoy usa sa problema.Tan-awa ning mga tawhana nga gipanghisgutan, mga TRAPO na sila. And if we speak of political culture, perti lisura ana usbon. It's the way how people think, act and feel.

New budget chief vows to lick corruption

THE full implementation of the law aimed at minimizing corruption in the state procurement process will be the first order of the day for newly appointed Budget Secretary Rolando Andaya Jr.

Although Republic Act 9184, the New Procurement Law, was signed in 2003, the “interlinking” of all government agencies has yet to be accomplished.

“Under the present system, if a bidder has been banned by the Department of Public Works and Highways, he is still qualified to bid for another project in, say, the Department of Education,” Andaya said in a telephone interview.

In 2003 the Asian Development Bank reported that a sixth of the economic output of developing Asian economies is lost to corruption.

Besides the coordination of the procurement system, Andaya added that he would also focus on keeping the revenue shortfall of the government within target.
He said the 2006 budget, which totals P1.06 trillion, is likely to be signed into law by President Arroyo in June.

Meanwhile, Andaya also disclosed that the Development and Budget Coordinating Committee is expected to come up with a revision on the macroeconomic assumptions for this year “within the month,” in time for a DBCC meeting with the Senate in March.

we are all sick of corrution and law breakers, however you can be rich even if your country is poor, thank God for being republican! I know you might think its too hypocritical for me to say so, but striving to become rich and live life in a comfortable manner has a connection to stop corruption and law breakers, however not all people who was once poor then became rich may apply to this, we need prayer, and lots and lots of it to make us change, because if we want changes and if we are tired of being poor, then we must change ourselves first.....
