Folk/Country is good music. What I mean with good music is good content. Parents don't want their children listen to rap/hiphop blah blehs all they talk about is *** violence more ***. I like Leann Womack, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, The Judds, Brooks & Dunn, Sheryl Crow, Alison Krauss.

That's what our band SOUTHWINGS normally play, country with touch of rock and folk.

I like Garth Brooks (he sold 100M copies of his albums in the US alone), George Strait, Shania Twain, Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams, and almost all in the country music.

I like also folk from America, CSNY, James Taylor, and the folky 1st album of Jewel (Pieces of You)

Most of all, I like contry rock acts like our influences The Eagles and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Salute also to rock bands with country roots Georgia Satellites, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, ZZ Top, and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Locally? Of course, unay jud ang Southwings and also Rolly Wagas...

naa lang ko question, y man a lot of people say metal music (or rock in general) is the devil's music. Especially ng mga member sa Christian whatever groups. Wala sila mag tanaw ni Christina ug Britney? Sluts ni Satan. Then they allow their children to buy their records. Mga hip/hop and RnB music always talk about *** and how to get blow jobs and stuff pero walay yawyaw. Kita man gud ko mga publications aning mga Christian groups nga maka irita

-CSNY band, Eagles, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash and mostly mga old ones akong ganahan kay they write better lyrics. Lahi na jud ang music standard karon but there are still songs nga very impressive

I agree with u melodyman. there are few rock bands who have satanic topics but these hip-hop/ R&B acts are more evil with their lyrics and videos promoting *** and violence. not good for children really. better listen to the country guys who are talking about love and places.

when i was a young girl...my grandma loves to listen folk songs while she ask me to sit her lap...since that time, i starting to love folk songs and i know there's a lot of great folk song singers especially in USA not here in our country poland... one of my grandma's fave folk singer is NORMAN... his band called "NORMAN YU'S AND THE RUBBERBAND TREE".
